ศ.หม่อมเจ้า สุภัทรดิศ ดิศกุลทรงนิพนธ์ขึ้นใน พ.ศ.2503 (ก่อนที่ปราสาทพระวิหารจะเกิดกรณีพิพาท) มีการแนะนำข้อมูลการเดินทางจากกรุงเทพไปยังปราสาท และข้อมูลทางภูมิศาสตร์ จากนั้นจึงนำชมไปตามลำดับตั้งแต่โคปุระชั้นต่างๆ ไปถึงปราสาทประธาน หนังสือเป็นเชิงสารคดีที่สอดแทรกความรู้ทางวิชาการ และที่น่าสนใจก็คือมีภาพถ่ายเก่าของปราสาทพระวิหารใน พ.ศ.2503
The guidebook for Prasat Phra Viharn was composed by Prince Subhadradis Diskul in 1960 prior to the dispute over the Thai-Cambodian border. The guidebook recommends that easiest way to reach the temple from Bangkok, mentions the geography and introduces the architecture of this ancient temple from the gateways to the main temple. This book is considered to be the documentary for tourist, yet some academic notices are also mentioned. The book, moreover, yields the old photos of Phra Viharn temple taken in 1960 which are of interesting.

ดั้งเดิมเป็นบทความจำนวน 3 บทความอยู่ในวารสารโบราณคดี ต่อมา ในพ.ศ.2513 ศ.หม่อมเจ้า สุภัทรดิศ ดิศกุลได้นำมารวมเล่มเป็นหนังสือภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อใช้ในงานนำชมนิทรรศการที่จัดขึ้นตั้งแต่ 6 มีนาคม – 6 เมษายน พ.ศ.2511 ที่พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ พระนคร เป็นนิทรรศการรวมโบราณวัตถุที่เป็นของพระราชทานยืม ประทานยืม และให้ยืมโดยบุคคลจำนวนมาก มีทั้งศิลปะทวารวดี ศรีวิชัย เขมร สุโขทัย ล้านนา อยุธยา รัตนโกสินทร์ โดยวัตถุแต่ละชิ้นมีความน่าสนใจเป็นพิเศษในด้านประวัติศาสตร์ศิลปะ
Originally there were three separated articles published in the Journal of Borankhadee (the academic journal by the faculty of Archaeology). In 1970, Prince Subhadradis Diskul combined and reprinted these articles as a book attached for the exhibition held at National Museum Bangkok from the 6th March to the 6th April 1968. The book yields the catalogue of the masterpieces derived from several private collections. Some pieces are of special interested.

เป็นหนังสือภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อนำชม“หอเขียน” ของวังสวนผักกาด หอเขียนดั้งเดิมเป็นหอไตรของวัดบ้านเกลี้ยง ต่อมา มรว.จุมพฏ บริพัตรได้ขอผาติกรรมมาไว้ที่วังสวนผักกาด หอไตรมีความพิเศษคือประดับลายรดน้ำบนผนังทุกแผ่น เป็นภาพเล่าเรื่องต่างๆในพุทธประวัติ เช่น ตอนปราบชฎิล ตอนเสด็จข้ามแม่น้ำไปยังเมืองกุสินาราและตอนถวายพระเพลิง ทรงกำหนดอายุอยู่ในสมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย
“The Lacquer pavilion at Suan Pakkad Palace” is the guidebook for Hor Kian or the lacquer pavilion which originally belonged to Wat Ban Kliang and Prince Chumbhot thereon transferred this pavilion to Suan Pakkad Palace. The lacquered mural inside the pavilion narrates the stories from the life of the Buddha, including the conversion of Jatila, the great demise and the cremation of the Buddha. The mural is dated to Late Ayutthaya period.

หนังสือเล่มนี้จัดพิมพ์เป็นภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อแนะนำอิทธิพลศิลปะทางศาสนาจากอินเดียสู่ศิลปะไทยระยะต้น ตีพิมพ์สำหรับมหาวิทยาลัยมาลายาในประเทศมาเลเซียเมื่อ พ.ศ.2534 เนื้อหากล่าวถึงพัฒนาการศิลปะอินเดียใน 4 ช่วงเวลา คือ อมราวดี คุปตะ หลังคุปตะ และปาละ มีการกล่าวถึงโบราณวัตถุสถานสำคัญทั้งวัตถุรุ่นเก่าที่นำเข้ามาจากอินเดีย ศิลปะทวารวดี ศิลปะศรีวิชัย และศิลปะขอมสมัยก่อนเมืองพระนคร
Written by Prince Subhadradis Diskul in 1991 for the University of Malaya, the book introduces the influence of Indian religious art to early Thailand. The sequence of Indian religious artistic influences in Thailand is dividable into four periods, viz. the period of Amaravati influence, of Gupta, of post-Gupta and of Pala influence. Some interesting artifacts, including the imported images from India, the Dvaravati images, Srivijaya and Pre-Angkorian artifacts are mentioned in this book.

ศาสตราจารย์ หม่อมเจ้า สุภัทรดิศ ดิศกุล ทรงเป็นบรรณาธิการหนังสือรวมบทความภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับศิลปะศรีวิชัยซึ่งเขียนโดยนักวิชาการชาวต่างประเทศหลายท่าน จัดพิมพ์โดย UNESCO โดยทรงนิพนธ์บทนำหนังสือว่าศรีวิชัยที่อาจครอบคลุมทั้งประเทศอินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซียและภาคใต้ของไทย และยังคงมีปัญหาที่ควรศึกษาหลายแง่มุม เนื้อหาหลักของหนังสือแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วน คือ ศรีวิชัยในเกาะสุมาตรา ศรีวิชัยในประเทศไทย ศรีวิชัยในคาบสมุทรมาเลเซีย และศรีวิชัยในฟิลิปปินส์ โดยที่ศาสตราจารย์ หม่อมเจ้า สุภัทรดิศ ดิศกุลทรงนิพนธ์ศรีวิชัยในประเทศไทย
